Kara Landau is a New York City based, Australian Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Nutritionist formerly known as the “Travelling Dietitian”. A previous spokesperson for the Dietitians Association of Australia, and now the Media Represenatative Nutrition Advisor for the Global Prebiotic Association, USA, and founder of Uplift Food – Good Mood Food, Kara is a trusted and respected voice in the world of gut health and prebiotics globally.

Consistently quoted for the past decade as a go to prebiotic expert in publications such as NineCoach, MSN, Womens Health and Fitness Magazine, Mens Health, Womens Health, Body and Soul, FairFax media and more, Karabridges science with consumer trends to help make her messages around the importance of a prebiotic rich diet clear, approachable and enlightening to audiences of all ages.

With a wealth of experience in healthy new product development amongst established and start-up companies, the author of the world wide release “The Clean Separation” (2012) focused on the connection between gut health and mood, and with her entrepreneurial nature, Kara’s newest venture is the creation of an innovative food brand in the gut health space.

Uplift Food is the world’s first dietitian created functional food brand to focus exclusively on the mood supportive benefit of prebiotic fibres and resistant starches.

Launching in March 2018 in Australia Kara aims to continue her endeavors in educating the public on the benefits of a gut healthy diet, whilst simultaneously bringing into the global food market unique and accessible products to support her message.
